2025 Tournament Rules
CENTRAL NEW YORK DISTRICT WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
TOURNAMENT RULES (REVISED 2025)

Host Club will determine is play will be cancelled or suspended.

Players should sign in immediately upon arrival. There will be a shotgun start at 9:00 am or assigned T-Times, as desired by Host Club. Play as continuously as feasible through the event. Scorecards must be turned in within 5 hours after the beginning of play to be eligible for prizes. The Host Club will make decisions regarding disqualification of players should questions arise.

Lunch will be served or purchased after play.

Players Slope Index must be vouched for by their District Reps. Players must use their home club Slope Index listed on the Friday before the next District Tournament. District reps should forward the players and their slop index to the Host Club’s reps by the Friday before the event. These shall be listed in ascending order, lowest to highest, and used to compute handicaps at the host club. A 36 handicap shall be the maximum assigned at any course. A member of Central Districts (CD) can invite a guest to play in a tournament one time. The guest is not eligible for any prizes and plays with the CD member. They are eligible for the 50/50. Handicap requirements are the same.

The Host Club shall divide players as equally as possible into A and B flights. Do not split handicaps. Skin Sheets shall be provided for A and B flights. ($2 to participate in skins).

USGA Rules shall apply except herein modified. Winter Rules (preferred lies) in one’s own fairway shall be allowed in all District events. Players in each foursome shall exchange cards before play begins. No putts shall be conceded. All scores should be announced before leaving the green. Slow players should let faster players through if there is an open hole. Scorecards should be turned in immediately upon completing play. If a player withdraws, this must be announced to the scorekeeper at the Host Club.

There will be a $20 cancellation fee if a player has not cancelled with the pro shop of the Host Club at least 24 hours before the event.

Prizes:
Prizes awarded at individual tournaments shall be in the nature of gift certificates redeemable at the Pro shop, or cash, and shall be identical for A and B flights.A maximum of one prize per player per tournament shall be awarded.Prizes will be determined as number below:

1st Low Gross $15.00

1st Low Net $15.00

2nd Low Gross $12.50

2nd Low Net $12.50

3rd Low Gross $10.00

3rd Low Net $10.00
Fourth place may be added as decided by the officers at the start of the season, moving prizes to $20.00, $15.00, $12.50 & $10.00, respectively.Prize amounts may be modified at the discretion of the officers, if circumstances arise.
Gross ties shall be decided by matching cards starting at the #1 handicap hole, etc., until tie is broken.In the event of a tie after 18 holes of matching cards, duplicate prizes shall be awarded.
Net ties shall be decided by matching cards with the #1 handicap hole using scores allocated for that hole, etc., until the tie is broken.
Host club will run a 50/50.$2/1 ticket; $5/3 tickets.Payout at lunch with 50% of the proceeds given to CD Treasurer and 50% to one winner.
